Who we are My name is Shane McKenna and I am a self employed Domestic & Commercial Energy assessor.  I have created this site to advertise myself directly to homeowners and businesses looking for LOW COST PROFESSIONAL Energy Performance Certificates.   I personally visit all properties and provide all certificates.   How we remain competitive In the current economic environment, I understand the important of value for money. I provide value but at the same time, insist on keeping standards high.  I keep prices as low as possible and pass all savings directly back to the customer.  As I work from home, I have no office expenses and save on office rent, rates and staff.  I also do not charge VAT.  All of my advertising is internet based (Google) to keep costs low.  I keep our prices low as I pass all savings directly back to the customer. All of the above allow me to make the offer that ‘WE WILL NOT BE BEATEN ON PRICE’.    Experience & Qualifications I attended Queens University and obtained a Degree and a Masters in Engineering.  After University, I worked for a local company for seven years designing complex heating systems and providing energy assessments.  I worked my way up to Senior Engineer and became a Chartered Engineer with the IET.  After reaching this grade, I decided to ‘take the jump’, become self employed and pursue a career in Energy Assessment.  I made this decision to coincide the governments’ introduction of Energy Performance certificates in June 08.  I qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor in June 08, a Commercial Energy Assessor in February 09 and an On Construction Assessor in January 10.  ECMK are my Energy Assessor Software provider, they in turn are regulated by ABBE.  ABBE are a government approved body that regulate the production of EPC’s.  I am fully insured and carry identification to all surveys.    How to order an EPC You can call me directly on 077 8605 1641 or email shane@emberenergyni.co.uk Summary of our services
