EPC Implementation

The following dates indicate when and who will require and EPC.

Residential Sales - 1st July 2008

All residential properties on the market on the 1st July 2008 will require an EPC to complete the house buying process.  Therefore all vendors will need to provide an EPC to their solicitor.

Residential Rentals - 1st January 2009

All residential properties for rent after 1st January 2009 will require an EPC to comply with legislation. Therefore all landlords will require an EPC to show to prospective tenants.

Commercial Sales & Rentals - 1st January 2009

All commercial property for sale/ rent after 1st January 2009 will require an EPC to comply with legislation.
